a short visit to brunei darulsalam and the surprise

hye everyone,

some of you, well, all of you, i presume, have already been alerted about my plan to go back to Malaysia for Raya. although it's just a short visit, for 13 days, it's priceless. i mean the excitement to meet my dear family after so many inner-conflict that i have been experienced while im in Australia has really rejuvenate me into a clean and fresh mind and soul. after all, family matter the most, i think

enough of that, because i purchased my flight ticket pretty late-well, i don't have enough money to buy MAS ticket- Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA) was my last resort. and my flight ticket insisted me to have an overnight stay at Brunei. it's just similar to what i had last summer in Taipei, Taiwan. but in this case, it's different because i was travelling all by myself. yes, yours truly was trying to become as independent as she could- without thinking that much. yala, the decision was a bit abrupt- more to emotional rather than rational (at least that's what my brother told me). i felt a bit insecure, afraid that i might be lost in direction at the airport or something like that. missing my flight or went to wrong hotel.

but i did not!!! everything was okey, and i made new friends too along my way back to Malaysia

the food were tremendously a lot..i mean bykla jgk dia kasi makan kt passenger dia..but i wasn't eager that much to take the photos..hehehehe... the journey was fine, just ok, few turbulences, but i don't like the entertainment part(preferably China Airlines) because RBA only provides a big screen for movies- only 2 movies!!!-for the passengers throughout the 6 hours and half journey. i was lucky enough to bring one of my unreadable novels and my mp3 so i wasn't that bored inside the plane. with afgan accompanied me, my life was perfect to hear his voice. will tell you more about afgan on the next entry ya.

back to the story, i arrived at so-called Brunei International Airport (it was so small!!!! even airport kt Terengganu lagi besar from Bruneinyer airport) at evening. and first thing i told myself was 'nasib baik x pakai baju tebal'. it was so hot- not that i'm perasan or what, but yeah, it was HOT!!! i was sweating a lot..huhuhuuh

here are some pictures of the airport taken while i was waiting for the people from the hotel to pick me up and send me to the hotel

hurm, i don't think that brunei has domestic airport because of the scale of the place itself and the population of 400,000 people. so perhaps there's no need for another airport, i reckon.

so yeah, after check-in and settling myself, i made a phone-call and spoke to my dad. it was a suprise thingy so my mum didn't know at all that i was going back. spoke on the phone for like 2 minutes-it was damn expensive! and yeah aud dollar to brunei dollar is just the same. cume lebey brape sen jer..huhuhuhu

together with april (the lady i met at the aiport), we did an hour tour around the city by hiring a cab. it was dark so nothing much to be seen.. i have few photos but they weren't that nice..:(

the next day, on monday, my flight to kl was around 11 something and i supposed to meet my dad at klia- he had a meeting in the morning and decided to go back to Terengganu with me- so yeah, i met him there..well, waited for an hour and my dad break his fast at the airport. did a lil bit of shopping at the airport and settled down at i-don't-remember-the-name-of-the-cafe. dad bought burger king for his meal and me myself bought chicken nugget.

this is my dad-who was so busy with his handphone and work-always work 24 hours

the exhausted me- tired and anxious to get home

our meal for the day!

after breaking the fast, he rushed to perform maghrib prayer because our flight was at 7.50pm, but it was delayed for about 15 minutes because the co-pilot was stucked at Penang due to the heavy traffic there. i was restless inside the plane and had headache and asked for panadol from the flight attendant.

so yeah, after 50 minutes journey from klia to ktrg, i finally arrived at the new airport. waited for my bag and pakcik nasir, dad's driver, drove us home.

hehehehe, i loveeeeee this part....

at home, mum was shocked and couldn't believe her eyes that her only daughter was standing in front of her. she hadn't had any clue nor instinct at all. she was speechless and hugged me..hehehe..i was in tears but just crocodile tears. and yeah, happy to be home.

everyone-my bro, my sis in-law and my dad were laughing at my mother because she's the only one that didn't know i will come back for raya

heheheheh

so yeah, that's it the first part of the surprises. will continue later. this time, from my mother's side...hehehehhee

i love you mum and sorry to do this to you!
