secondly, to my dearest friends and housemates (2 people) who will also getting engaged end of this year. indeed i am soooo happy for you guys...

so, here you go, three of my bestest friends will be changing their status very soon and preparing themselves for a new life.

dear blog,

notice the difference in my blog layout. it's chalk abc and i think this layout really suits me at this point of time.

and why is that so?

well, it's because in 2 weeks time, i'll be facing the crucial phase in my life. the reality of becoming a teacher. starting on 29th june onwards, i'll start my teaching practicum and the school that i'll be going to is Sek.Keb Sri Indah, Taman OUG.

am excited to start my second semester and of course the last lap in my journey of finishing my tertiary education. and hopefully the kids are wonderful and i'll be getting merit for my practicum. insyallah.

pray for my success ya!!

dear blog,

this is mr.airil aiman, a.k.a my 7-months-old-nephew. he is super duper cute and makin membesar. almost 8 kilos now and spending time with him was, hurmm, tiring yet enjoyable because he's so active and lasak. a very brave guy and not afraid to get hurt. very persistent as if he wants something, he wouldn't stop until he gets what he wants. forget about the bruises, he keeps playing and playing until it's the time for milk and bed. he cannot resist food, since now he's able to digest all kind of foods, particularly the soft texture one, like porridge, mash biscuits and also kfc's mash potatoes. he's loveable, likeable and nonetheless handsome! hehehe. he's the king in our heart since he's the first grandson in our family so the attention goes to him. a very pembodek too and we know his tricks! and as usual my father or his grandpa is the sole victim! i love him very much! some might call him airil, riel or even aiman (paklong call him that) but to me, he's my gendut because he keeps growing and growing each day!

anyway, airil or gendut, acik nah loves you very much. cannot wait to see you sayang. perhaps this weekend ya?

Maru the cat

dear blog,

i have always love cats. in fact, i used to have cats as my pet. 15 of them, i think. in all sort of colors and patterns. but when i moved out to a new place, parents decided not to bring them along with us. it's sad to leave them like that, but luckily our neighbours took some of them home. it's good because there's somebody to take care their needs. and im glad that they're in good keepers.

it's been ages now since i own a cat. but now, i have one stray cat at home. always comes and goes. she's in orange color and might carrying babies since the last time i saw her, her stomach was quite big! but anyway, i wish her all the best and mari ghumoh sokmo yer utk makang2 yer syg??..

so, back to Maru, i've been viewing one of my mates' facebook until i found out this video clip of this cat. he or maybe she is living in japan now and OMG he/she is HUGE and so soft. i can see that the owner is taking a very good care of her because the cat is very healthy and fit too. and loves to play with boxes. Maru is sooo cute and i fall in love once i see the video clips in Youtube. you can google about this cat if you don't believe me.

and apparently, Maru is a blogger too. wow i never thought that a cat can open its own blog *wink wink*

dear blog,

OMG, this is like an emergency of a lifetime!!!

I don't have shoes to wear for my school practicum.

I went to Midvalley today just to find out that my feet has been shrinking to size 4

usually my shoes size is 5 but unfortunately most of the shoes that I have tried on are not fit enough-a bit longgar2

even 4 1/2!

so this is a disaster!!!!!! and currently i don't have appropriate shoes to go to school. all i have now are more to sandal and flat shoes- which is not to the standard of a teacher's dress code.

where can i find a nice and decent one that fits to my size 4?

perhaps i should go to Times Square tomorrow and yeah it's going to be shoes hunting!

p/s: i'll be meeting my year 2 students after one day break. hope they are in good spirit, not like the previous lesson where every single thing went wrong and dried. they were not happy, i was not in good mood, my body and soul were not there. i lost my touch the moment i entered the class. will talk about it later.

dear blog,

the pictures above were taken during the Hati Malaya screening, in conjunction with Independence Day. however, since the venue was so stuffy and hot, I decided to take the girls outside the room, to have some fresh air. thus we ended up cam-whoring! it was fun. i mean the girls were so sporting and loved to take photos. some were even posing for me. then we talked about few stuffs-like hobbies, ambition, books etc. it was fun to build such good rapport with them. i wish that I can stay much longer in the school because of them. they are among the students that I taught in Year 2 and were closed to me. other students were still in the room, if they were outside the class, surely i'll take their pictures as well.

anyway, I have one observation this coming Wednesday, and it's formative now. meaning marks will be given for each observation to determine whether i pass or fail. to another extend, maybe merit, insyallah. but for now, my aim is to just pass my practical course.

dear blog,

im done with this boy. i've already reached the limit. he keeps pushing my patience to the maximum.

i couldn't hold my patience anymore. i let my anger conquers my judgement. i let him to overcome my patience.

he's such a bad boy. a samseng i must say. name-calling is his forte. he does bad things to his friends. he pushes others and steals their stuff.

i have no idea what to do. I have advise him so many times before but he keeps repeating the the same things. he is still disturbing others. he's not listening to my lessons and instructions. to make it worst, he doesn't understand English at all.

i don't want to send him to GB or PK but today, i let the anger do the judgement. as I said before, I've reached my limit. yet today, I brought him to the office. i explained everything to the PK. and i didn't know what happen to him.

as I walked to the staffroom, I felt guilty. I knew that the action that I took just now was supposed to be the last resort. i was supposed to send him to the class teacher first. i felt so sad, thinking that he might be canned by the PK. i talked to the class teacher, apologized to him as I noticed that my action could tarnished his reputation as the class teacher. right at that moment I knew I should be more symphaty towards the boy. i should consult my cooperating teacher and the class teacher first. i should not have done that!

but the damage has been done. and i should be accountable for any consequences that might arise from my action just now.

i know i have destroyed my reputation among the teachers, and the boy must hate me for a long time.

now, i feel regret....

and it's not a good feeling....

dear blog,

im at the Subang Airport now, waiting for my flight, which is at 8pm. arrived here quite early and headed straight to Big Apple to have some light refreshment.

anyway, im so excited to go back home because i've been away for 2 months now. i missed my parents, and my room a lot! i missed my bed and pillow-ok you get what i mean- but the point is, i missed my creek so dearly...

and i couldn't wait to have my first sahur with my parents since for the past 2 years, i hardly bangun for sahur when I was in aussie.

which kinda sad because i do miss aussie so much and i don't know when i'll be back to down under. T_T

anyway, im looking forward to see my mom. sadly im still fat and God knows when i'll be little thin back like when i was in ovc..

hey, before i forget selamat berpuasa..don't tinggal2 puasa...unless you have some eligible reasons :P

ok, gtg muah

o by the way, i have one week break from school duty- no lesson plans, no materials, no headache- but still have to do some reflective tasks. damn i hate writing reflections!

guess where i had my iftar with my parents?yeap it's true. on the second day of puasa, i had my iftar at Taman Tamadun Islam. it's a very nice and cosy place, surrounded by nature and you feel at ease there. i had buffet style for my iftar and dad as the general manager there prepared everything for us...

the very last paper

dear blog,

i have finally finished blabbing and rambling in my final paper for this semester. gosh, that assignment was the hardest one to complete. well, compared to the gifted education assignment, this one is a bit tricky as it is a free writing assignment. you may not answering the question properly.

but i like this style of writing. at least you won't be too rigid to conform to only one style and plus you can write whatever you want. yes, sometimes i did feel inferior, like if i did the right thing, or am i heading on the wrong way or am i on track, something like that. but anyhow, i really loved this assignment, so far

so yeah, it took me 3 days to complete-days and nights-well, mostly i woke-up around 4am and did a bit and had power nap, just to recharge back the energy before going to work. and to be honest, the '4am' time was the time where i became extremely productive and managed to finish at least one subheading. hehehehe

anyhow, i constructed my paper based on 3 headings which included: the reformation of social function, the national curriculum (which i then divided into another 3 subheadings, where i used 3 national curriculum from Hong Kong, Seychelles and of course Malaysia. so my discussion revolved around that) for the final heading, i basically just compared between those three curriculums and see whether they happened to have shared common similarites in terms of the ideal social function-which of course yes- and there you go, fin!!!

i know, i know, blog, you must have been confused with what i just wrote, but yeah that's how i constructed my very last paper here in Australia

gosh, im scared to go back to IPBA!

yes, i am fully depressed and brain-exhausted right now..

so many things to be done this week..

allow me to jot down the list:

1. MDB030 (Assignment 1: An overview of case-study analysis)

I chose case number 6 and it is about....

" You have just been appointed to a school. No doubt that I have put myself into chopping block by choosing this case. But I detest lesson plan this time as I want to do something different. I have already have the topic for my action plan, that is : Giftedness in Early Childhood Program, but I am stuck with the identification process. But I know how to do it and have all the materials with me. It just the matter of time and creativity to write it down. Although it's just one page (like others have said to me), well guys, first impression is crucial. I need to convince my lecturer with my plan and I need to do it meticulously.

2. EDB 355 ( Assignment 1: Group Presentation)

another assignment in hand is this one. I am not the one who really avid to do group work and yeah presentation is not my best forte. i'm so freaking out to do this one. The group that i am working with involves aim, sufy and fat. and the title that we have decided to present is :

Teaching Competencies: Challenges in the Malaysian Context

We just finish finalizing what should we put in our presentations and each one of us has 4 chances to speak and to prove to the lecturer (which is Jo) that we are fully confident with this topic. and to my dismay, i have been so petrified to do this topic. although the division of roles is fair enough for four of us, i feel incompetence to find the information since we are supposed to gather the information by tonight!!! so what the hell am i supposed to do that?

I need to collect information on:

a) The policy
b) Areas of incompetencies-subject matter-language and ICT
C) Challenges in achieving this policy- cultural & commitment/ interest/ motivation

Due date: 15/9/2008, this Monday!!!

i am so fucking dead now (oppss bulan puasa)..

3. EAB422- Educational Software

I have to generate a software for children age 8-9, based on the syllabus. I chose to do on Animal: Incredible Life Cycles and haven't started anything although the lecturer wants to see the progression of this software this week.

I am so fucked up right now.

Due date: 19/9/2008, this Wednesday!!!!

i have no idea how i am going to survive this week. Totally challenging and demanding. Guess I need to reconsider about working while studying.

yeay!!!

today is not a boring day, but more tired i guess

i had two excursions for Jan H.'s class-went to the Queensland Police Service Headquartes at Roma Street to visit the museum and GOMA- Gallery of Modern Art in Culture Center. it was extremely fun! but i thought we were going to see Picasso and his collection but unfortunately we had to pay for that. so, it's okey, Sidney Nolan's masterpieces were beyond recognition. I can't say no more of his works. His new retrospective exhibition was amazing and yeah i kinda like it.

but so sad that i can't take any picture of his work. butttttt... i managed to take pictures of myself inside the gallery. it was huge space, very spacious with two pools inside and i was so fall in love with the interior design-i was speechless, i am.
